1. These Terms and Conditions are to be read in conjunction with the Application, Acceptance Email and Reply Email (if applicable) and The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) Small Scale Event terms and conditions, accessed here:https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/small-scale-event-terms-conditions.
2. The applicant does not have exclusive use of any site within the National Park (Park). If the area requested has been booked by another party, that party has priority and the applicant will have to arrange an alternative location with NPWS.
3. Only existing formalised walking tracks and management trails may be utilised during the activity (except where prior written approval has been granted) and vehicles used must conform with vehicle ratings for each fire management trail. Agency badged vehicles only can be used on trails.
4. All publicly accessible vehicle roads, management trails and walking tracks, are to remainopen/accessible for visitors and NPWS staff. The use of traffic controls, including signs, road diversions, cones, or similar, is prohibited unless with prior written NPWS approval or a Transport for NSW approval Traffic Control Plan.
5. Use and access of the management trail / walking track by other Park users shall not be restricted by this activity.
6. Management trails have maximum speed limits of 10-30km/hour and must give way to all other park users.
7. Fire management trails are not to be driven on in the event of rain or following a substantial rain event.
8. (RFS) Hand tool lines must not be cut. Removing, picking damaging, or destroying vegetation is prohibited.
9. The Organiser must check the NPWS website for any alerts notifications to be up-to-date on closures prior to, and on the morning of the event.
10. Park closures can occur at any time, especially during fire season, and during unprecedented and adverse weather conditions. If this occurs, you are not to proceed with your activity.
11. If a Total or Park Fire Ban is declared, the activity is not to proceed within the areas of your application.
12. In case of an emergency during the activity, the Organiser shall be responsible for formulating and implementing the group’s internal emergency response procedure and will notify NPWS immediately for notifiable events or those impacting users of the Park or Park assets and values. 13. Any incidents that are not an emergency are to be reported to NPWS within 48 hours.
14. The following must not be brought into the Park: public address systems, amplified music systems, animals, plants, or other items or activities that may entail a risk to, or, will disturb other park users.
15. All rubbish generated at the activity must be removed from the park or disposed of in the bins onsite.
16. Smoking is prohibited in National Parks.
17. No material may be attached to Park infrastructure or vegetation.
18. Any damage to the NPWS estate/assets including access routes and environment, is the responsibility of the Organiser and must be remediated and approved to the satisfaction of the NPWS authorised delegate within 14 days.
19. Phytophthora can be spread in contaminated mud on shoes, tyres or camping equipment. Don’t carry dirt from place to place. Keep soil from other places out of this bushland and leave the soil from this bushland here. Refer to HELP STOP THE ROT literature supplied. The soles of boots and shoes should be liberally sprayed with 70% methylated spirits: 30% water mix and scrubbed well with a stiff brush.
20. The applicant shall nominate a contact person for the day of the activity, who is onsite during the activity, and provide to NPWS the mobile phone number for that person.
21.This consent does not confer any rights of exclusive access or use, nor is it to be presented as doing so to any other visitors to this site.
