ABOUT HOPE ACADEMY Legends...

Hope Academy (HA) was founded as Little Treasures Learning Center and is an outreach ministry of Hope Chapel (HC) (formerly Indian Creek Community Church) in January, 1992. Based on a genuine love for children, our mission is to serve the needs of our community one child & one family at a time. We will provide this through early childhood education activities, nurturing & loving the children in Christian environment. Our Legends location opens 2024 as an expansion of the ministry, to offer child care to Kansas City, Kansas families.

HAL strives to provide a safe, warm, & loving environment where children develop a good self-image, a consideration for others, & a positive outgoing attitude. We see each child as individuals & allow them to express their natural creativity & imaginations. We teach the love of Jesus through Bible stories & classroom activities. Prayer is said before meal & snack times. Jesus’ love is shown from the everyday example we set for them through our lives. Our words & actions need to reflect His love. Our Christian example may be the only Jesus some children see.

HA believes to be able to fully accomplish our goal, we need to continually grow in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ & to rely on the Holy Spirit daily.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH...

As a ministry of HC, HAL believes:

· Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born through a virgin birth, fully God & fully man.

· Jesus died on the cross to pay for the sins of mankind. God raised Him from the dead & He appeared alive to His followers before ascending to heaven.

· The Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is our guide for daily living.

· Salvation comes only through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior.

· In the Trinity - God the Father; God the Son (Jesus), & God the Holy Spirit

· Jesus will return to earth in power & glory to lead both the living & the dead in judgment.

HC believes in the unity of God’s church. It is non-denominational because it believes that there is only one church in God’s sight and it is made up of those who have chosen Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.

As part of our curriculum, HAL teaches:

· Bible stories told on a level children can understand, emphasizing good morals & behavior

· God is love & God loves each child

· God created the world & is Creator of all thing

· Jesus is God’s Son who lives in our hearts when we ask Him to

· Jesus is our best friend

· Celebration of Christmas because it is Jesus’ birthday

· Celebration of Easter because Jesus died on the cross for our sins & arose again

· When we die, we will live in heaven with Jesus forever, if we have asked Him to live in our hearts
