Military Heroes Individual Grants are awarded to veterans and active military for community leadership and successful employment expenses that they are unable to afford on their own. Examples include participation in training, certifications, and higher education fees. Individual grants do not cover monthly bills, rent, mortgage, car payments, loans, legal fees, debt, medical bills, insurance, tuitions, and home or auto repairs.
Additional requirements:
• Must be active military or a veteran meeting the below requirements.
•Separated from the service within 5 years of application.
• Received an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions.
• Served a minimum of 2 years Active Duty, this includes service in: Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, or Reserves or National Guard on Title 10 Call-ups, or Active Guard/Reserves
