  • Girls Empowerment Network is seeking strong leaders with a passion for girls' issues to fill a number of Work-Study positions within our agency. All Work-Study students must be commited to the mission of Girls Empowerment Network, be team-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have reliable transportation.

    • Work-Study positions can last one semester (fall or spring) although a full year (fall and spring) is preferred.

    • Work-Study Students can work anywhere from 10-19 hours/week. Although the number of hours a student is able to work is dependent on their Work-Study Verification Award. However, at some universities, Work-Study students cannot work more than 19 hours/week.

    • Applicants MUST be eligible for the Work-Study program at one of our partner schools: University of Texas at Austin, University of Houston-Downtown, or St. Edward's University, and applicants MUST have a Work-Study Verification Award.
