  • Thank you for your support of the Public Education Foundation Scholarships Plus program! The program has more than doubled over the past five years, helping thousands of students achieve their dreams of attending college or vocational school.

We are thrilled to announce that the Scholarships Plus program achieved a new milestone in 2024 by awarding almost $6.7 million in scholarships to more than 800 students. This is our best-ever program year, and PEF is proud to now be the largest scholarship management program in Nevada, thanks to hundreds of donors like you!

We hope that you will be able to help again this year. Our goal is to continue growing our scholarship program while maintaining the elements donors and students value most.

The purpose of this Letter of Intent is to:

Confirm that you intend to participate in the coming scholarship cycle
Confirm you are aware of our new procedures and program deadlines
Update the information we have on file for you (contact information and information about your scholarship opportunity)
Please email scholarships@thepef.org with any questions!

  • Please provide a description of your scholarship that will be viewed by students who will be applying for your scholarship opportunity

    Here is an example,

"Boulder City High School* Clark County, Nevada seniors with a record of community service and a minimum 3.0 weighted GPA may apply for this scholarship. The student must plan to attend college or continue education through a vocational school. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded."

  • Scaling the scholarship program at a fast pace has generated some growth challenges, and PEF is utilizing feedback from the people we serve (donors, students, and application reviewers) to make significant improvements.
