    Experience Designer

    The primary goal of the Experience Designer is to imagine and execute something out of nothing. If that piques your interest, here’s some more context: 

    Responsible for concept ideation and creative output that includes, but is not limited to, developing visual mood boards/inspiration, initiating high level and divergent conceptual ideas, and executing 2D and 3D design output, as directed by the Design Director. Must utilize a variety of techniques, skillsets and softwares to visualize concepts. Work with the Design Director to develop, refine, and champion the creative vision throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. Must demonstrate creative problem solving skills, high-quality ideation skills, and strong creative technical ability in 2D and 3D design. Responsible for balancing multiple projects/clients, meeting deadlines consistently, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. 

    An Experience Designer is focused on the conceptual ideation and design output as directed by the Design Director or Senior Experience Designer. An Experience Designer has the ability to design 5-10 overlapping projects of small to medium scope.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Primary (All day, every day)

    ● Work with the Design Director to establish strategic and creative vision for the project that captures client and audience needs, visual direction and audience journey.

    ● Collaborate with the Design Director to develop audience journey maps, inspiration/mood boards, story maps and other design narrative collateral that capture the creative vision.

    ● Design and develop new concepts that solve client problems and capture powerful storytelling through graphics, form, material and space within the creative vision established by the Design Director.

    ● Execute design output that best visualizes creative intent and conceptual designs (Photoshop renders, photo-realism renders, hand sketches and/or digital sketches).

    ● Refine concepts and further execute creative intent based on client feedback and through collaboration with the Design Director and Delivery Team.

    Secondary (Likely, just depends on the day) 

    ● Assist the Design Director and Story Team with some discovery, including sitting in on client interviews and performing relevant research prior to conceptual design.

    ● Collaborate with multiple designers and/or freelancers on larger, more complex projects to execute creative output as directed by the Design Director.

    ● Assist with some client presentations, including creation of some presentation decks and opportunities to co-present with the Design Director.

    ● Assist the Design Director with some art direction of production art files to ensure consistency with concept and that quality meets creative intent.

    ● Work with the Design Director to champion creative solutions while balancing budgetary and schedule needs when appropriate.

    ● Attend and contribute to Live Creative Sessions with the client by ideating, sketching, asking good questions, seeking insights and solving problems.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Primary Softwares (You will definitely use these daily) 

    •  Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator 

    Secondary Softwares (You will probably use these sometimes) 

    • Keynote, InDesign 

    Other Softwares (You may or may not find these handy occasionally) 

    • Enscape / 3D Max / Lumion / Vray or other rendering software, Procreate or other digital sketching software, AfterEffects or other animation/motion media software

    Must be a creative problem solver who demonstrates a strong technical ability in 2D and 3D design. Must excel at thinking divergently, exploring many ideas and/or executions early in the creative process. Must have strong communication skills to effectively articulate creative intent and to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. 

    Must be a self starter with an aptitude for learning quickly. A sense of humor is preferred, but not required. A minimum of one (1) interesting hobby also preferred, but not required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • EDUCATION: A bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design or related field is required. 
    • EXPERIENCE: 3-6 years of relevant design experience is required.
    • PORTFOLIO: Lastly (and most importantly!) a portfolio demonstrating the previously mentioned design capabilities in graphic design, industrial design, environmental/spatial design, exhibit design, interior design, architecture and/or other relevant design field(s) is required. Show off and show out!

    Project Manager

    Summary:

    The role of the Project Manager (PM) is to oversee, plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict quality standards, deadlines and within budget while maintaining high levels of quality, safety and customer satisfaction. The SPM serves as the leader of the execution of the project and is supported by team members to carry out day to day tasks. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and subcontractors in order to deliver projects according to plan and budget. This position reports to the SVP of Client Experience.

    Key Functions:

    • The following are indicative of the essential functions required to perform this job successfully.Works in collaboration with the Design Director to lead the project from start to finish
    • Responsible for the oversight of other roles on the Project Team
      Strategically consults and adds value to the internal team related to project execution
    • Meetings: Schedule and facilitation of meetings and/or presentations (internal/external) includingestablishing meeting agendas, meeting documentation, management of DRIs, and required
      follow-up; Coordination of travel for project team as needed; Responsible for special design event coordination which could include hosting of sandboxes, site visits, prototype presentations, etc. in collaboration with the Design Director
    • Budget: Management of project margin with regards to the overall scope and contract of the given project(s) and responsible for communicating with internal and external teams on financial implications that may arise throughout the lifetime of a project; Management of project margin by
      tracking expenses and internal resource utilization through weekly and monthly reporting and Margin Assessment Tools
    • Contract Management: Responsible for collaboration with Sales and Legal Teams on review of contract; Creation and modification of Production Quotes, Change Orders, Payment Applications and any other required documentation
    • Project Schedules: Responsible for development, modification (as needed), delivery (internal and external) and execution of the Project Schedule throughout the lifecycle of the project. May require integration of project schedule with overall construction schedule
    • Resource Management: Internal management of design, story, fabrication and installation resources based on project schedule, scope, and budget
    • Client Feedback: Obtain client feedback, disseminate, monitor/vet/validate completion and execution of feedback within designs in collaboration with Design Lead
    • Content Assimilation: Responsible for oversight of Content Assimilation Process in collaboration with Story Team
    • Invoicing and Payment: Responsible for invoicing clients as specified by contract. Responsible for vendor payment at the project level.
    • Responsible for individual monthly expense reporting
    • Project Closeout: Responsible for development and delivery of closing documentation set, final project financial report, materials archive and project completion summaries
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    PROJECT ENGINEER

    Job Summary

    The role of the Project Engineer is to provide support to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager by assisting in the management and execution of projects according to strict quality standards, deadlines and within budget while maintaining high levels of quality safety and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for assisting the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager by exploring the feasibility of designs and bringing them to life for the customer.


    Essential Functions:

    • Provides support to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager
    • Strategically consults and adds value to internal project team
    • Meetings: Attends meetings as requested by the Project Manager and completes tasks assigned in meetings
    • Budget: Manage materials, installation and shipping budget as assigned
      Architectural Integration Documents: Oversee the internal development of document set, review with project team as needed, provide support to Project Team in coordination with external parties
    • Estimating and Feasibility: Complete estimating and feasibility assessments as assigned of designs based on budget and timeline
    • Production Documents: Collaborate with Technical Team on document development, internal reviews, and full execution of documents. This may include but not limited to obtaining shop drawings and e-proofs from vendors, integrating vendor shop drawings/e-proof into production documents
    • Site Survey: In collaboration with Project Manager and Installation Lead, assist in scheduling, execution, and dissemination of site survey; review Site Survey for accuracy
    • Installation: In collaboration with Project Manager and Installation Lead, assist in scheduling and execution of installations including but not limited to creation and review of Work Action Plans and Punch List Documentation; This role may require on-sight installation supervision/management in conjunction with Field Supervisor as well as facilitation and communication with vendors who may be on-site for installation
    • Materials Selection: Collaborate with design team on materials selection, responsible for procuring samples for review; building sample presentation boards; track and communicate shipping details; maintaining sample budget; and communicating with vendors as needed
    • Project Tracker: Daily input of information as required, including but not limited to material details, sample tracking, sizes, hardware, etc.
    • Vendor Management: Day-to-day communication with vendors; hold vendors accountable to deadlines and complete routine checks on progress as assigned
    • Logistics Coordination: Monitoring and communication of shipments, storage, organization prior to installation; provides support to Installation team
      Closing Documentation: Supports Project Manager in development of closing documentation including maintenance details, warranty information, Project Updates outline, replacement hardware, etc.
    • Vendor Payments: Coordinate with vendor and internal accounting to complete purchase orders, commitments, change orders, and ensure timely payment to vendors
    • Schedules: Collaborate on project schedules based on knowledge of material and fabrication lead times
    • Development: Research and validate best in class vendors and recommend them based on scope of project(s) in collaboration with Director of Implementation
    • Responsible for individual monthly expense reporting

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
    • 3-5+ years of professional work experience in Commercial Construction or Engineering
    • Hands on building and/or fabrication experience
    • Experience working on an active construction site
    • Portfolio of hands-on fabrication/construction experience required
    • Strong familiarity with the following software: Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Procore and the Mac platform
    • The ability to travel required

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Detail oriented and highly organized
    • A self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
    • Ability to be proactive not reactive; advanced problem solving skills; ability to ‘think on your feet’

    CLIENT ENGAGEMENT MANAGER


    Job Summary

    The Client Engagement Manager will work to identify opportunities, initiate proposals, close sales, maintain customer relationships, and further pursue strategic growth opportunities at Advent. The Sr. Client Engagement Manager will report to the Director of Client Engagement and will collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team.


    Key Functions:

    • Build business by identifying and selling prospects within existing and new market sectors. Follow up and sell warm leads that come from the Marketing team. Once sold, maintain relationships with customers. 
    • Qualify leads by evaluating their needs and Advent’s ability to solve their problems. 
    • Develop relationships and maintain contact with new and existing leads. 
    • Provide support, information, and guidance to potential clients positioning Advent’s ability to serve them successfully. 
    • Collaborate on and develop presentation material that positions Advent in a way that wins clients over and stays consistent with Advent’s brand voice. 
    • Maintain and upload necessary data in Salesforce. 
    • Collaborate on proposal development and effectively close deals with a sign-off on proposals. 
    • Develop great relationships with the internal team and relay key project information during project download/handoff. 
    • Serve as an ongoing client advocate for the internal team and an Advent advocate to a client. 
    • Maintain a memorable level of knowledge of Advent services, previous engagements, and brand voice. 
    • Take leadership and ownership of opportunities prior to closing, and beyond closing when dealing with project difficulties (i.e. changes in scope, payment terms, etc.).
    • Track activity to accurately account for sales goals and future record keeping.
