  • Brite is an online, interdisciplinary STEM program is built for self-identifying girls ages 13-16 offered by Florida State University, in partnership with National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) and Smart Girls HQ, through funding from the National Science Foundation.

    BRITE will be offered from July 15 - August 1 2024, on Monday-Thursday from 11am - 2pm at Workforce Solutions Borderplex - Northeast

    BRITE will provide a high-quality, in-person/online suite of activities centered on collaborative learning and featuring women role models.

    Brite 2024 will consist of three courses across three weeks:

    • Week 1: Code, Create, Collaborate, featuring role models and activities that introduce girls to careers in computer science.
    • Week 2: Dream, Design, Discover, featuring role models and activities that introduce girls to careers in engineering.
    • Week 3: Investigate, Innovate, Inspire, featuring role models and activities that introduce girls to careers

  • Participant is between the age of 13 - 16
  • Brite focuses recruitment on self-identifying girls of color who have been historically excluded from STEM, including Black, Latina, Indigenous girls, among others. Does participant identify as any of the following:
