The Cecil H. Bailey, CMP, Mentor Award
This award is given to the CMP member exhibiting the highest commitment to influencing the life of other members by encouraging them to pursue their certified meeting professional designation, going out of their way to support members by getting them involved in Chapter activities and operations, in an effort to obtain the confidence and experience necessary to complete their CMP application.
The J.B. Bostic Torchlight Award
This award recognizes the commitment of a long-term member in influencing the life of the chapter. The award is based on the ability of the recipient to motivate others, stimulate volunteer functions, give a sense of direction and act as a catalyst to cause exceptional results that benefit the chapter and operations. This award is offered to the long-term member who continues to devote time and energy to the profession and the chapter.
Young Professional Award
This award recognizes an individual 40 years of age or younger that has made outstanding contributions to the meetings and events industry. The winner of the Young Professional Award will be nominated on behalf of the Virginia Chapter for the 2024 MPI RISE Awards.
Howard Feiertag Impact Member of the Year Award
This award is given to an exceptional MPI Virginia Chapter member who through volunteer efforts has made outstanding grassroots contributions and demonstrated unparalleled commitment to the advancement of the chapter, community or region. The Member of the Year Award Winner will also be nominated for the 2024 MPI RISE Awards.
Meeting Industry Leadership Award
This award honors those rare individuals who by visionary hard work and creative insight have positively changed the global meetings and events industry community. It recognizes sustained commitment and substantial contributions to the meetings and events industry. This award elevates the accomplishments of these individuals and inspires others to learn from their example. The Virginia Chapter Meeting Industry Leadership Award Winner will be nominated for the 2024 MPI RISE Awards.
