The Cybersecurity Practitioner Fundamentals course, designed in collaboration with cybersecurity subject matter experts, introduces participants to essential concepts using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework. Over the course of four weeks, students will delve into cybersecurity terminology, explore cyber threats and effective response strategies, learn about maintaining robust cybersecurity practices, and gain insights into legal and ethical considerations. This 100% online course allows participants to progress at their own pace, with weekly lessons, assignments, and assessments. Additionally, a digital coach component connects participants with industry experts who discuss career pathways, certification programs, and strategies for securing a job in the cybersecurity field. Once a week, participants have the opportunity to meet with a digital coach via video conferencing for personalized guidance.
Cybersecurity Fundamental Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a total of five Micro-Credential Digital Badges, one for each lesson mastered. Additionally, you’ll earn one Macro-Credential Digital Badge, which will recognize the skills and proficiencies you’ve achieved throughout the program.
