  • Participant Information

  • Santa Margarita Water District Participant Etiquette Agreement

Each registrant must sign and agree for all guests attending a SMWD hosted public event or tour.

PARTICIPANT ETIQUETTE The homeowners on this tour have graciously made themselves and their landscapes available for us to enjoy and learn from. We ask that you treat the homeowners and their landscapes with respect by following this etiquette guideline:

•Tour hours are 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. only. Please do not visit landscapes outside these times.

•Please drive carefully and slowly. Parking may be limited, so consider carpooling or take the opportunity to walk or ride your bike - there’s bound to be plenty of other gardens to view on the journey.

•If you are interested in photographing any aspect of a landscape, please ask for permission from the homeowner before doing so.

•Restroom facilities will not be provided, so please plan accordingly.

    •Please leave pets at home.

•Please avoid smoking in or around the landscapes.

•Please be careful and considerate of other attendees.

•Due to the varying nature of the terrain at home gardens this Tour is not 100% ADA accessible, but many of the gardens can be viewed from sidewalks and driveways.

•Many of these landscapes are regularly visited by butterflies, hummingbirds, bumble bees, and more. Move slowly through the landscapes for your best chances at seeing these pollinators!
