Dear applicant, thank you for considering to apply for this fellowship. The fellowship is meant for Kenyan media and communication professionals working in media houses and civil society organizations. It targets junior professionals in the industry, seeking to empower them with knowledge and skills on gender and media.
The fellowship is a four-month program meant to build awareness for the need for, and the impact of, having better representation and equity in media, communication and society in general. Successful fellows will be supported to complete a capstone project to demonstrate increased knowledge and understanding of the importance of gender equity and how this can be built into their work environments.
This fellowship will run from May 1st to August 31st, 2024.
To complete this application form you will need to prepare:
- Your curriculum vitae
- Short answer on your motivation and how you will use the skills from this fellowship
- Short 300-word answer on a gender project you would produce if successful.
Participants should expect to spend approximately three hours a week for six to eight weeks on their capstone project, alongside physical classes and mentorship.
