I am requesting permission to install a Satellite Dish. I have read and understand the attached “Rules for the Installation of Satellite Dishes” and agree to comply with them in their entirety. I further agree that the installation and operation of my Satellite Dish is done so at my own risk and I will be liable for any injury or damage to persons or property caused by my Satellite Dish. I agree to purchase and maintain liability insurance for my Satellite Dish as long as I am a resident. When I discontinue service or vacate my unit, I agree to remove my Satellite Dish.

Beacon Hill Townhouse HOA Satellite Dish Rules:
The Telecommunications Act of 1996 and the Over-the-Air Reception Devices Rule (OTARD Rule) prohibit homeowners’ associations from banning the installation of satellite dishes. In accordance with this act, residents may install one satellite dish that is no more than one meter (39 inches) in diameter. The dish may be located inside the dwelling; or in an area outside the dwelling such as a balcony, patio, yard, etc., as long as the resident has exclusive use of that space.Installation is not permitted in any parking areas, roof, exterior wall, window, windowsill, fence or common area, or any area that is available for use by other residents. The dish should not protrude beyond the vertical and horizontal space that is owned by the resident for their exclusive use.Installation must not damage the unit. Resident may not drill holes in railings, exterior walls, window frames, door frames or any other location where holes might impair the building weatherproofing or there is a risk of striking electricity, water or any other utility lines.The satellite dish must be professionally installed. Residents may NOT install a satellite dish themselves Residents may Run a “flat” cable under a door jam or window sill in a manner that does not physically alter the premises and does not interfere with proper operation of the door or window. Wireless transmission of the signal from the dish/antenna to a device inside the dwelling is the preferred method. Management will approve the installation method.
