Cranwell International Center advocates and acts in support of international students, articulating and amplifying the value they bring to the learning community, and celebrating international diversity to promote global competence in all students at Virginia Tech.
Cranwell International Center is the sponsoring department of Mozaiko, a Virginia Tech Living-Learning Community. Mozaiko is a diverse community of students in Harper Hall; Mozaikans learn about each other’s culture, immerse themselves in language practice, and prepare for a lifetime of intercultural leadership.
This role will support the day-to-day program operations for the living-learning community and will need to be able to offer in-person support and leadership at student meetings, events, weekly language hours, and programs. The individual will support student and organization planned events by assisting in-person with set up, recording attendance, event execution, taking pictures at events, event tear down, and assessment of the event's impact. Additionally, the role supports collaborative student planning and budgeting of events and record keeping of attendance, budget planning, event description development, flyers, pictures, receipts, and invoices. Furthermore, the role supports maintaining the organization and inventory of Mozaiko’s materials and artifacts. The individual also assists with in-person Mozaiko recruiting events including but not limited to Gobbler Fest, Language House Mixers, Haunted House, International Coffee House and Open Mic Nights, International Cafe Hours, Living-Learning Socials, and Hokie Focus.
