**Applying for this program does not guarantee funds. If you are approved you will receive an email notification. Funds are distributed once a quarter. Applications will be funded based on the priority of the need and availability of funds. The board will choose students. Your application is valid for one 90 days. Funds will be distributed directly to the organization or in the form of a gift card minimum**
We will focus on 5 areas:
Housing: This will protect students from eviction to protect them from homelessness.
Utilities: This will ensure that students have lights and running water.
Food: We will provide students with food when they have limited options of meals per day
Transportation: We will provide students with transportation needs that may prevent them from attending class, work, or other programs.
Personal Necessities: Personal hygiene and cleanliness is important. We want to ensure students have necessities such as feminine products, soap, dish detergent, washing powder, etc.
Tuition: We will contribute to tuition preventing a student from receiving their official transcript/diploma.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must attend an HBCU in Huntsville, AL (Madison, Morgan, Limestone County)
- Must be a part of the HBCU Queenpreneur program and have attended at least 3 classes; OR Must be a current HBCU volunteer that has volunteered for at least 3 events;OR Must have completed the HBCU program and graduated within 12 months.
- Must be able to provide documentation of the need
- Must not have received assistance in the last 12 months
- Must be ages 18-24
