• University Ministries Student Leadership Interest Form

    Hello Future Bruin! If you are seeing this form it means that you are thinking about getting involved with being a spiritual leader on Belmont's campus. Before we say anything else, we want to say how amazing it is that you are even considering doing this. It says a lot about who you are as a person and how important faith is to you. We are excited that you will be joining the Belmont family! Below, fill out the quick form to express interest in being a Spiritual Life Ambassador (SLA) and helping shape the spiritual life of our campus to help others come to know and become closer to Jesus! (Please note that saying you are interested does not commit you to the position. You are allowed to change your mind. We will be reaching out to you over the summer with more information about how to really get plugged in as you get closer to being at Belmont).   • Below are the descriptions of the SLA positions we currently offer. Look through them and then select which ones you would be interested in.

  • Chapel Audio/Visual Techs: Do you have experience running sound or ProPresenter? Chapel Audio/Visual Techs work with Chapel Worship Leaders and UM Staff to manage all of the audio/visual aspects of Chapel.

    Chapel Hospitality: Student leaders on the Chapel Hospitality team help UM Staff create a warm and inviting environment for those attending Chapel, including getting the lobby set up, welcoming guests, and helping fellow students get WellCore.

    Chapel Worship Leader: Student leaders who lead music worship for chapel help set an environment of reverence and worship towards God in chapel. They lead purposeful songs that guide students in responding to the Lord's goodness and grace.

  • Small Group Leaders: Students leaders on this team work with UM Staff to lead small group Bible studies, book discussion groups, and community groups, many of which take place in residence halls across campus. 

    Prayer Team: If you are passionate about prayer, this team will meet regulary to intercede for our campus, including the many prayer requests we receive from students, faculty, and staff.

  • Missional Engagement Council: Student leaders on the Missional Engagement Council (MEC) work with the Director of Missions & Outreach on logistics, planning, education, and engagement for mission trips and service initiatives.

    Mission Trip Leaders: In addition to faculty/staff leaders, each mission trip (Fall Break, Spring Break, Summer) has student trip leaders that help coordinate and lead the trips.

    Room in the Inn Leadership Team: From November through March, Belmont partners with an organization called Room in the Inn to provide shelter, meals, and fellowship for people experiencing homelessness. This takes place on Wednesday afternoons/evenings in the Belmont Ministry Center. Students on the Room in the Inn Leadership Team help oversee and coordinate this work for the entire year.

  • Social Media Team: Put your social media skills to use by helping UM engage the Belmont community. Use your creativity to help us promote Chapel, Mission Trips, Bible Studies, and other UM-releated opportunities. 

    Events Team: We're putting together an Events Team who will work with UM Staff to create unique, fun, and meaningful events throughout the year.
