Keris Kares Art Supply Grant
  • Art Supply Grant Application

  • “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything, give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Keris Kares Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) established in memory of Keris Bembry as a means to provide advocacy and critical support for families faced with a pediatric cancer diagnosis. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, everything STOPS. It is our mission to provide hope for families dealing with a childhood cancer diagnosis by providing spiritual, emotional, and financial support.

Keris loved Art! It was her therapy and something she could do at every stage of her treatment. This is the reason we are starting our art initiatives within Keris Kares. The grant is designed to help art teachers purchase art supplies so that children will have
a creative outlet and a means to express themselves. For Keris, art meant art parties, coloring with friends, Picasso paintings for the fridge, and finding color when things started to go gray. For these reasons, it means the world to pass Keris's love and joy for Art to classrooms across Georgia!

To support Keris’ passion, Keris Kares Inc. would like to provide individual $200 Art Supply Grants to qualifying elementary school art teachers. The art teachers will be awarded a $200 gift card to Walmart or Hobby Lobby to purchase supplies for the
    schools’ art program.

The Art Supply grant cycle opens each July and is based on the availability of funds. Complete applications will be reviewed in the order received. Once reviewed, KKI will contact the grant requestor to confirm whether the application has been accepted or declined. Applicants are available for one grant per academic year.
