    Your Local United Way serving Coffee, Moore, and Warren Counties
  • Your local United Way serving Coffee, Moore, and Warren counties is excited to announce our funding opportunity for 2024-2025. 

    Proposals for this one-year grant will be accepted beginning on April 1, 2024 and ending on May 1 at 11:59 pm cst. Please complete a separate application for each program for which you are applying. Please note that completion of this form does not guarantee funding.

    Eligibility Guidelines

    • Non-profit organization serving Coffee, Moore, and/or Warren counties
    • Non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status or IRS equivalent to nonprofit status
    • Must have one full year of operation before requesting United Way funding
    • New or existing programs that align with one of the funding priorities - Education, Health, Welfare, or Human Services

    • United Way utilizes Giving Matters profiles to review documents and information for nonprofit grant applicants. If you do not have an up-to-date Giving Matters profile, we encourage you to create one. For help updating or setting up a Giving Matters profile, click here. Alternatively, you can upload the following documents below:

      • 501(c)(3) verification
      • Annual Audit
      • 990 Form
      • State Charitable Sollicitation Letter
      • List of Board of Directors members

      If you have an updated Giving Matters profile, you do not need to upload these documents.

    • An agency applying for support from United Way of Highway 55's Allocation Program agrees to:

      1. Submit all application materials by May 1, 2024
      2. Send a representative to a 20-minute Allocation Committee meeting that will be scheduled for end of May. Specific dates/times provided by Ashley Abraham. 

      An agency supported by United Way of Hwy 55's Allocation Program agrees to:

      1. Use allocated funds to serve residents of Coffee, Moore, and/or Warren counties.
      2. Use allocated funds as described in the application and allocation committee meeting.
      3. Submit Quarterly Agency Reports and a year-end Final Report.
      4. When able, attend United Way promotional and fundraising events.
      5. Be available to participate in a newspaper photo announcing the 2024-2025 partner agencies.

      Suspension of Funds Agreement

      According to the United Way of Highway 55’s By-Laws Section 12.3 Suspension or Discontinuance of Funds, the Executive Director, with the approval of the Allocations Committee, may suspend payment of all or portion of the funds allocated to a recipient agency or organization, if the Allocations Committee determines that the agency or organization has failed or is failing to abide by the current board-approved requirements and criteria for allocations. The Executive Director may restore the allocated funds when the Allocation Committee is satisfied that the agency or organization is in substantial compliance with the requirements and criteria for allocations procedures. Any actions taken by the Executive Director shall be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval and ratification at the earliest scheduled meeting.

      When it has been demonstrated to the Board of Directors’ satisfaction that funds have been misappropriated or misused or are about to be misappropriated, the Board of Directors may immediately discontinue the allocated funds to any agency or organization.
