Directions:
Continue West on Highway #1 past Moose Jaw 19KM, or if you are traveling East, 1 KM past Caronport until you get to the Range Road 283. You will see the Greenhouse and Goat Yoga Farms on the South side of the highway. Turn south at this intersection and continue South 5.2 km over Rail tracks until you come to a STOP sign. At the STOP sign you will turn Right or West and drive for 3.2 km until you come to 3 large granaries on the right and a sign that says, "DOUBLES DOWN ARENA". Here you will turn right and you will see the big Arena on the left side, first farm. Please check in with either Heather Chappel or a Morgan Member wearing a bright yellow T-shirt.
Information and Rules:

2. Outdoor stalls are $15.00 day. Quantity is limited. It is imperative that exhibitors send money to reserve stalls. A separate check for $25.00 will be required. This check will be returned when the stall is inspected. You are encouraged to have your contact information on your stall.
3. Exhibitors MUST notify ring steward of tack changes prior to class.
4. Exhibitors MUST fill out the entry form enclosed. In making entry, the owner assumes all liability on account of accidents to either horse, person or property, and releases Doubles Down Arena and the Saskatchewan Morgan Horse Club from any responsibility and must sign a release before competing. Waivers are included.
5. Neither the Saskatchewan Morgan Horse Club, nor any of its officials shall be responsible for the loss or injury from whatsoever cause to exhibitor, person or property, although care will be taken to prevent such loss or injury, neither are they responsible for any typographical errors that may appear in the prize list.
6. ALL Judges Decisions are final.
7. The name and age of the horse or pony and the name and age of the youth exhibitors as of January lst, 2024 must be given on the entry form. Youth exhibitors may be asked proof of age.
8. The Show Committee reserves the right to split, cancel or combine classes as entries warrant.
9. A horse (14 hands and up) or pony (under 14 hands) cannot be ridden by more than one rider in the same class. All classes are horse classes unless specified pony for safety reasons.
10. The judge may send an entry from the ring for bad behavior. Any form of animal cruelty will not be tolerated.
11. All classes requiring a pattern will have the appropriate pattern posted prior to class. Judge has discretion to make changes and will be discussed prior to class.
12. All horses withdrawn from classes must have the Exhibitor present a vet certificate for a refund of fees. Also, a rider withdrawing from classes must have a Doctor's note for refund of fees.
13. No person, other than the Judge, Directors in charge, Ring Stewart, the clerk and necessary attendants for each animal judged shall be allowed in the show ring.
14. The Management reserves the right to remove from the grounds any exhibitor, animal, stand or show that may be falsely entered or may be deemed unsuitable or objectionable, without assigning any reason and therefore management shall be exonerated from any claim whatsoever, on the part of the exhibitor or purchaser, for such removal.
15. An exhibitor making an entry, by doing so agrees to the rules and regulations printed herein: or afterwards to be made by the Directors for the governing of the Saskatchewan Morgan and Open Horse Show.
16. All protests shall be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of $20. In the event of the protest not being sustained, the deposit shall be forfeited to the Saskatchewan Morgan Horse Club. Protests should plainly state the cause of the complaint or appeal and must be handed to the Horse Show Secretary of the day issued, and not later than 4 p.m. on the last day of the show.
NOTE: No statement based on the assertion that the judge is incompetent will be considered by the Directors. Protest shall be decided by a majority vote of the Directors present at the meeting when such protests are considered.
17. Any person who shall attempt to interfere with a Judge while discharging his/her duties, or refuses to accept a Judge's award, or at any time while on the premises of Doubles Down grounds use contemptuous or abusive language to a Judge, SHALL BE EJECTED. As an exhibitor, he/she shall forfeit the right to any premium to which he/she may be entitled and may be excluded from exhibiting for one year thereafter. The Judge(s) are particularly requested to report any misconduct that comes to their attention.
18. Exhibitors shall submit to the requirements of the Judge, otherwise their entries will be disqualified.
19. Attempts to artificially cover defects in livestock exhibits (Other than tail extensions) will be disqualified and the owner (at the discretion of the Committee) may forfeit any other livestock awards he/she has won.
20. MANDATORY use of ASTM approved helmets with secure chinstraps for all youth participants while on the show premises, and on any horse or pony will be enforced.
21. MANDATORY use of ASTM approved helmets with secure chinstraps for all participants in all English Classes will be enforced.
22. Morgan Horses are eligible for Breed Points when placed in the top five standings of a Morgan Class.
**In hand Morgan's cannot cross enter in open halter classes. ** A Morgan Horse/Rider can only win in one High Point Division.**
23. Event EIA Designation "D". This event does not require a negative test for EIA. (no coggins test required).
24. ** Heritage Classes are marked with an asterisks.**
Show Starts at 9 am each day.
This show is governed by SHF rules and exhibitors are expected to be familiar with SHF rules. The committee incorporated some of the SHF Heritage Classic Awards. Heritage Circuit classes are not limited to SHF members, however in order to accumulate points for circuit, an exhibitor must be a current member of the SHF. Horses must be nominated before qualifying.

High Point Qualifications:
Must enter in a Western or English Pleasure Class AND a Trail Class

*In the event of a tie for High Point there will be a Western Pleasure ride off.
