Rules and Regulations for Guest Vending
Please allow at least one month for processing before your first vending session at the Market. Additionally, a two-week notice is preferred when requesting specific dates. As part of the application process, please be prepared to submit pictures of your products, your market setup, examples of signage/branding, a list of items to be sold along with their prices, the location of your farm or business, and a statement of intent explaining why you would like to join the market.
Vendors are personally responsible for being in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations that apply to their business.
Any vendor selling at the Broad Street Market must maintain comprehensive general liability insurance coverage, with a minimum aggregate coverage of $1,000,000.00, naming both the "Broad Street Market Alliance" and the "City of Harrisburg" as additional insured parties. A copy of this insurance policy must be provided to the Market Manager before vending at the market. Management reserves the right to verify the validity of the policy.
Additionally, any vendor selling at the Broad Street Market MUST possess a BUSINESS PRIVILEGE AND MERCANTILE LICENSE and any vendor selling consumable food products MUST also possess a HEALTH LICENSE issued by The City of Harrisburg.
All the aforementioned requirements must be fulfilled for consideration in the Market. Forms for The City of Harrisburg can also be obtained from the Tax Enforcement Office located in room 305-A in the Martin Luther King Jr. City Government Center at 10 North Second Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101.
