The Broad Street Market is currently accepting only local craft and produce vendors as guest vendors.

Multi-Day Vendor Passes do not need to be used on consecutive days. Please email manager@broadstreetmarket.org to schedule guest vendoring opportunities.

Rules and Regulations for Guest Vending

Please allow at least one month for processing before your first vending session at the Market. Additionally, a two-week notice is preferred when requesting specific dates. As part of the application process, please be prepared to submit pictures of your products, your market setup, examples of signage/branding, a list of items to be sold along with their prices, the location of your farm or business, and a statement of intent explaining why you would like to join the market.

Vendors are personally responsible for being in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations that apply to their business.
 
Any vendor selling at the Broad Street Market must maintain comprehensive general liability insurance coverage, with a minimum aggregate coverage of $1,000,000.00, naming both the "Broad Street Market Alliance" and the "City of Harrisburg" as additional insured parties. A copy of this insurance policy must be provided to the Market Manager before vending at the market. Management reserves the right to verify the validity of the policy.

Additionally, any vendor selling at the Broad Street Market MUST possess a BUSINESS PRIVILEGE AND MERCANTILE LICENSE and any vendor selling consumable food products MUST also possess a HEALTH LICENSE issued by The City of Harrisburg.

All the aforementioned requirements must be fulfilled for consideration in the Market. Forms for The City of Harrisburg can also be obtained from the Tax Enforcement Office located in room 305-A in the Martin Luther King Jr. City Government Center at 10 North Second Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. 

Market Operations

1. The Broad Street Market is located at 1233 North Third Street Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17102.
2. The Market Manager are responsible for the daily operations of the Market.
3. The Market Office is located at the Third Street entrance to the Market. Management Staff can be reached at manager@broadstreetmarket.org.
4. The Market operates during the following regular hours: Thursday from 7am to 6pm, Friday from 7am to 6pm, and Saturday from 7am to 4pm. The first hour of each day (7am-8am) is optional for daily, guest, and seasonal vendors. However, daily, guest, and seasonal vendors are required to remain at their sites until the official close of the market and must have their sites dismantled, packed up, and cleaned within one hour after the market closure.
   
   • Repeated lateness, absence, or early departure may result in the vendor's removal from doing business at the market.
5. A daily parking pass will be issued to vendors for each day of vending at the market. The Market Manager will provide these passes to vendors. Parking is available in two lots located on the North side of the market houses. Diagonal parking around both buildings is reserved for customer parking; however, vendors may use it for 15 minutes at the beginning and end of the day specifically for unloading and loading purposes.
6. The Market operates during the following regular hours: Thursday from 7am to 6pm, Friday from 7am to 6pm, and Saturday from 7am to 4pm. The first hour of each day (7am-8am) is optional for daily, guest, and seasonal vendors. However, daily, guest, and seasonal vendors are required to remain at their sites until the official close of the market and must have their sites dismantled, packed up, and cleaned within one hour after the market closure.
7. Vendors must notify the Market Manager of their absence at the market no later than 8am on market day. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the fee and may affect future vending approvals.
8. Seasonal vendors are expected to attend all days within the established season, which runs from May to November, on Saturdays.
9. The cancellation of the Market or early closure due to dangerous or severe weather conditions shall be at the sole discretion of the Market Manager.
10. All necessary applications and licenses must be completed and received by the Market Manager by the Tuesday prior to the vendor's first market day.
11. To ensure a rotation of diverse offerings, artisan, value-added items, and craft vendors may not apply for consecutive market weekends. They may have a maximum of two days per month, depending on availability, with no two days being consecutive. The Market Manager may use discretion when scheduling.
12. Indoor spaces are limited and subject to availability, resulting in a maximum of one market day per month or as available.
13. Daily vending will be limited to Saturdays only unless otherwise decided by the Market Manager, such as in the case of farmers.
14. A standard stall on the Plaza (outside space) measures 10 x 10.
15. Expanded spaces are limited, and assignments are made at the discretion of the Market Manager.
16. Vendors are responsible for providing all equipment and supplies needed for their setup.
17. Vendors are not permitted to encroach on areas designated for customer seating, except on special market days deemed as events, such as pre-holiday market days. Permission for such exceptions will be granted at the discretion of the Market Manager.
18. Vendors are required to adhere to the highest business and ethical standards while operating at the market. Each vendor must remain within their designated market space when conducting sales. Sales should be conducted in an orderly and professional manner, without the use of shouting, hawking, or any other disruptive means of soliciting. Vendors are expected to exhibit courtesy and cooperation towards both customers and fellow vendors.
