Craft Workshop Proposal: FALL 2024
This form is for those who wish to propose a specific craft workshop as part of LitArts RI's fall programming. Proposals due by May 20, 2024.
Craft Workshops
are generative skills-building intensives, and must include a deep dive into an aspect of writing, illustrating or podcasting technique. Workshops should reach across multiple mediums and genres and be engaging for all experience levels. Please take a moment to review the rubric
here
. While we are open to all subjects, this term we are particularly interested in seeing workshops that engage:
Revision (content, grammar, polishing a work sample, etc.)
Creative nonfiction
Underrepresented narratives
Longform mediums (novel, memoir, etc.)

We believe in compensating artists for their time and expertise. Our standard is to pay instructors $100/workshop hour. Without grant funding, workshops can only run when we have enough participants to pay our instructor. You also have the option to be compensated in the form of coworking hours at our community workspace.
*
I understand the class will only run with a minimum number of participants.
I'm open to a trade so the class will run with any number of participants--please reach out with the coworking details.
