"My Mind: Collective Care; A Climate Solution"

In My Mind ‘s(IMM26) 12th Annual Conference, with the title, "In My Mind: Collective Care; A Climate Solution” with the theme, Organizing Change with Visible and Invisible Communities for Mental Health and Environmental Justice will be held on Thursday, October 8 from 9:00am to 6:00pm. With global partners, the planning team’s collective efforts for this one-day conference will focus on climate change’s impacts on 2SLGBTQIA+/Same-Gender Loving (SGL) Black and Peoples of Color communities’ mental health. The collective strengths and wisdom from clinicians, consumers, academics, and advocates will examine the many aspects of resilience, healing, overcoming and creating.
The Program is divided into two distinct areas: Speakers (invited Speakers will address aspects of the conference Theme and Tracks) and Presentations (Workshops, Panel Discussions, and Stand-Alone Presentations conforming to the Conference Tracks). Abstract submitters are encouraged to complete the requirements for Continuing Education Units/Credits (CEUs) to ensure that LCSW, LMSW, and LMHC attendees to their presentations could receive credit toward their licenses.

Abstracts, depending on their presenters' qualifications and experience, may be eligible for Continuing Education Units/Credits (CUEs authorized and recognized by New York State). Abstracts are reviewed and should they meet the NY State Education Department's (NYSED) requirements, the Presentation will be designated as CE Eligible in the Conference Program, that is, any LMSW, LCSW or LMHC requiring CEs toward maintaining their licenses can attend, participate, and complete the required evaluation to receive at least one-credit hour. NOTE: the presenter/facilitator is NOT receiving a CE.
