Do you understand that there is never 100% guarantee that your puppy will not have a genetic problem, even if the parents have their clearances?
Will you agree to perform hip and elbow x-rays at 2 yrs of age and genetic testing if asked?
Are you aware that Labradors are not normally barkers?
Are you aware that Labradors are known to be chewers and diggers? (especially if left alone for long periods of time).
Have you thought about how you are goin to housebreak the puppy?
Have you used a crate to housebreak a puppy before? Do you own a crate?
Do you plan to spay or neuter your puppy? Are you aware that the recommendations currently are to wait until they are 18 mos of age or older?
Are you willing to take your puppy to socialization/obedience classes? What type of training methods will you use?
What sex and color puppy are in you interested in? (Male/Female, Black or Yellow, No Preference on sex, No Preference on color). Please note if you are set on a color or a sex, we will always attempt to meet your choices, however Mother Nature does not always give us what we want.
What is your timeline for getting a dog?
Do you understand the difference between Full and Limited AKC registration? To promote responsible breeding, all of my puppies are sold on Limited Registration.
