  • The 2026 season is almost here, and we’re excited to celebrate our 13th year bringing local growers, makers, and community members together in the heart of Stevensville. Whether you’re a returning vendor or joining us for the first time, thank you for being part of what makes our market special.

    Market Overview

    • Location: Off Main Street and West 3rd St, next to Valley Drug and Variety, Stevensville,
    • Season Dates: Saturdays, May 2 – October 3, 2026
    • Market Hours: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
    • Setup: 7:00 am – 8:30 am (no vehicles after 8:30 am)
    • Takedown: After 2:00 pm (do not pack up early)

    Get Involved:

    We’re seeking paid volunteers to help with setup and takedown of market essentials like signage, picnic tables, and street barricades. Volunteers earn $20 per shift or $40 each Saturday, paid by check the following week. Interested in joining our permanent staff? Let’s talk!

    RULES AND REGULATIONS 2026
  • All vendors must follow these guidelines to ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable market experience for everyone.


    1. Market Hours & Attendance

    • Market Dates: Saturdays, May 2 – October 3, 2026, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. 
    • Setup: Begins at 7:00 am. No vehicles allowed in the market area after 8:30 am. Late arrivals must carry items to their booth by hand. 
    • Takedown: Starts at 2:00 pm. Do not begin packing up before closing time. Market area must be cleared by 3:00 pm. 
    • Attendance Weekly Vendors: Notify the Market Manager by Wednesday at noon if you do not plan to attend the upcoming market.
    • Non-Weekly Vendors: Notify the Market Manager by Wednesday at noon if you do plan to attend. Vendor fees are not refunded for cancellations, but may be applied to a future market. 


    2. Booth Setup & Safety

    • Assigned Spaces: Vendors must set up only in their assigned space. Notify the Market Manager if you cannot attend at least 3 days prior to the next market. 
    • Canopy Weights Required: All vendors must use weights to secure their canopies. No stakes are allowed in pavement. If weather conditions worsen, you may be asked to take down your canopy at the direction of the Market Manager.
    • Children: Must be supervised and remain within the booth area. 
    • No Wheels: Scooters, skateboards, skates, and bikes are not allowed in the market area for safety. 

    3. Parking

    • Vendor Parking: Use the lot north of the market. Do not park in the first two rows. Follow posted directions. Violators may be towed at their own expense. 
    • Handicap Parking: Available on Main Street. 
    • Street Parking: Allowed if respectful of homeowners and businesses. 

    4. Product Approval & Sales

    • Approved Items Only: Vendors may only sell products listed on their application. The Market Manager must approve new products before display. 
    • Direct Sales: Only one representative per company is allowed. 
    • Food Vendors: Must comply with Ravalli County Health Department regulations(406-375-6568), Cottage Law, or Local Food Act.
    • Homemade Food Vendors: Display signage required:
      “Made in a home kitchen that is not subject to retail food establishment regulations or inspections”. 

    5. Clean-Up & Waste Disposal

    • Pack It In, Pack It Out: Vendors are responsible for cleaning their space. Do not use town-provided garbage cans for vendor trash; these are for customer use only. 
    • Food Vendors: Provide a small trash can for your area. 

    6. Money Handling & Liability

    • Self-Managed Transactions: Vendors are responsible for their own cash box, change, and receipts. The market does not provide currency or proof of payment. 
    • Personal Property: The market and its board members are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. 

    7. Emergency Procedures

    • Serious Injury: Call 911 immediately. Provide location: Stevensville Farmers Market, West 3rd Street and Main Street next to Valley Drug and Variety. 
      Notify Market Manager: After calling 911, notify the Market Manager or a nearby Board Member. [First Aid: Use supplies in the Market’s First Aid Box if appropriate. 
    • Incident Report: Market staff will document all incidents. 

    8. Enforcement

    • Rule Violations: The Market Manager has the authority to terminate vendor participation for rule violations.

    Special Events

     May 9th: Blooms for Mom: Families can decorate a pot and plant a flower for that special lady in their life.

    June 20th: Father's Day Car Show with Bitterrodders.

    June 26-27th: 50 Mile Yard Sale -NOTE: This is a separate event from the SHVFM

    July 11th: Christmas in July: Christmas in Summer with kids giveaways.

    August 7/8th : Creamery Picnic

    NOTE: This is a separate event from the SHVFM. The Civic Club has its own fees and schedule.
    Market Hours: Normal hours from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
    Notification: Inform the Market Manager of your planned attendance for this event to assist with vendor placement. Pre-payment is preferred for this event to guarantee a placement.

    September 19th: Hometown Heroes: Celebrating our local backbone of the community who serve without expectation of rewards.

    October 3th: Customer Appriciation/Scarecrow Festival

    Date: Last market of the season (October 3, 2026)
    Market Hours: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
     

    General Guidelines for Special Events

    Vendor placement may be adjusted for special events. Please follow the instructions from the Market Manager.
    Watch for additional details and instructions as event dates approach.
    Early notification of attendance helps ensure smooth event planning.
