Internship Application Form

The Institute for National Security Studies encourages the integration of young researchers in INSS internships. Internships have the dual goal of contributing to the development of young and promising researchers with an interest in national security issues; and assisting INSS researchers with their work. We offer internship positions to graduate students and academics with backgrounds in international relations, political science, Middle East studies, and other relevant degrees in considering the research program applied for.
Please Note

Before applying for an internship at INSS, please note the following: Internships are conducted on a voluntary basis. Internship tasks are diverse and range from basic data collection to research and publication. INSS provides third party insurance according to the terms of the Institute's policy; interns are responsible for their own medical insurance. Preference will be given to graduate students Candidates applying for the Terror and Low Intensity Conflict Program must commit to a full one-year period. INSS does not support remote internships.

acceptance to an internship at INSS depends on a number of variables including, but not limited to, the following: candidates' skills; candidates' suitability to preferred research programs; vacancies in requested research programs; availability of INSS researchers to supervise interns; correlation between period during which interns are available to volunteer and weekly hours interns can commit to and INSS programs' needs. Should the internship request be suited to INSS developing needs, the applicant will be directly contacted by INSS researchers. This process may be lengthy and stretch beyond a number of weeks and even months.
