Established by Bikash and Kumari Regmi, in collaboration with MUCC, to help refugee students achieve their dreams in the health fields. At a young age, Bikash and Kumari Regmi left their native Bhutan, and spent the next 17 years in Nepal refugee camps. Given their history and ability to relate with the experiences of the refugees, Bikash and Kumari have both volunteered their time interpreting and with various medical efforts in the community. The scholarship provides $500 to a high school senior or college student of Asian American and Pacific Islander descent who is passionate about healthcare.
