• Tattoo Aftercare

These are your instructions and tips on how you can care for your new tattoo piece you've just received from me, if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to contact me.
    • Tattoo Procedure Side Effects
    • After the procedure the site can include:

      • Mild pain, swelling, and redness are common side effects from getting your tattoo in either a long or short duration after your procedure can last for 3-4 days.
      • There will be plasma or blood build-up within the sani-derm (second skin) or seram wrap on your arm after the procedure.
      • Your body will be sensitive at touch or to regular temperatures such as direct sunlight so it's best not to excessively expose it.
      • It's best to wear loose clothing to avoid irritation or friction on the site. You need to allow it to breath as it is a fresh wound and scar.
    • Aftercare for Tattoo
      1. Once you get home you want to wash your hands and gently remove the plastic wrap off your procedure site. Wash it gently with these reccommended products; Dove bar soap, anti-bacterial nonscented soap. (If you have san-derm on the procedure site remove the adhesive within 24-hours and follow instructions below.)
      2. Pat dry and avoid rubbing the tattoo as it can add excess trauma to the site with friction . Once it has been dry use a non-scented lotion such as Lubriderm, Cetaphil or Aveeno. AD&D or Tattoo Balm is acceptable.
      3. DO NOT PUT THE WRAP BACK ONTO THE SITE, IT IS UNSANITARY.
      4. Depending on the size of the tattoo you've received a thin coat of aftercare is efficient enough. You would continue this daily as this is a scar you would want to carefully heal. It is very important to remember to not pick on the scabbing as to it will dry and fall off naturally.
      5. It is best not to over moisturize the site or put a thick layer of moisturizer as it can be unhygenic and cause longer healing issues, potential breakouts and cause bacteria to be trapped within the healing process of your layers in skin.
      6. Avoid wearing skin tight clothing as loose is best to fit and it provides the natural state for the site to heal in, tight clothing can trap moisture and cause friction onto the tattoo and can potentially harm you.
      7. Direct sunlight exposure should be avoided as soon as possible after the therapy (including any strong UV light exposure and tanning beds). In the weeks following the treatment, your skin may be more sensitive to the sun.
      8. After the procedure, you can expect to have some soreness and minor swelling for a 2-4 days.
      9. Avoid swimming, going to the beach or gym for 2-3 weeks, as to remembering all of these places do contain germs, bacteria, and diseases. The site needs to properly heal and you would need to avoid any places prone to infection.
      10. If you are having unusual swelling pus during scabbing, and discoloration please seek medical attention to gain treatment that is needed.
      11. Remember to hydrate daily, get plenty of sleep and rest as these are the best solutions for your body to naturally heal.
      12. HAPPY HEALING! ^_^
