Teacher Dana: Please note that the prices reflected on this form only account for payment to Won Dharma Center itself for food and lodging. In the tradition of the Buddha, these teachers follow the system of "Dana," which means they offer their teachings freely and accept donations at the end of the retreat. As these teachers depend on this Dana for their livelihood, we encourage you to give any amount you are able to afford. The details of how to specifically donate to the teachers will be discussed at the end of the retreat.
Format: During this meditation retreat, participants will take a vow of Noble Silence. This means that for the duration of the retreat, participants will refrain from speaking to one another and the use of electronics.
The daily schedule will comprise of an early wake up, followed by sitting and walking meditation throughout the day. This will be broken up by breakfast, lunch, and dinner where all meals will be vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options available.
Furthermore, there will also be a Dharma talk and an optional qigong/yoga period each day. There will also be small group meetings with teachers each day to ask questions about your practice.
Please note that although we will be holding to the vow of Noble Silence, if you are in need of any assistance, you will be reach out to a teacher or a retreat support membership for help.
Start and End Times: The retreat registration/check-in time will take place from 5-6 PM on the first day. We will end on noon of the last day.
Refund Policy: 50% refund up until October 1. After October 1, no refunds will be offered.
