Terms & Condtions:
Magpie provides a collection service for donated items to support its charitable activities.
The service includes the collection of furniture, household items, and other donations as agreed upon.
Requests for collection must be made using the provided form, including a full list of items and any important directions.
Magpie reserves the right to refuse collection of items that do not meet our acceptance criteria.
Items must be in good condition, free from damage, wear, and fully functional.
No items with smoke odour, smoke damage, or pet hairs will be accepted.
Electrical items pre-dating 2009 and upholstered items with any damage or worn patches pre-dating 2019 will not be accepted due to legislations regarding Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).
Donors have the option to apply Gift Aid to their donations. By agreeing to Gift Aid, donors allow Magpie to reclaim an additional 25% in tax on eligible donations made by UK taxpayers.
The property must be inspected to ensure the access route is clear and to note any existing damage prior to the collection/delivery.
Magpie will not be liable for damage caused by moving goods under express instruction against our advice.
If damage occurs due to our negligence, our liability is limited to making good the damaged area only.
- Confirmation and Communication:
Magpie will confirm collection requests via email as soon as possible.
While we will attempt to provide updated collection times via phone, this may not always be possible.
Magpie reserves the right to refuse collection of any item at our discretion.
By requesting a collection, donors agree to these terms and conditions.
By submitting a collection request, you agree to abide by the above terms and conditions.
