Dr. Charles Steele, Jr., President/CEO of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference will be hosting the 65th Annual Convention in Atlanta, GA August 9th-10th.  Education, Economics and Gun Reform: Requirements for a Better Community is the theme of the convention which will be held at the DoubleTree Atlanta Airport.

 “65 years of bringing together our chapters, members and stakeholders should be a celebration for the SCLC. But with what is going on with education, the continued economic oppression of Black and poor people in this country, and the devasting effects of gun violence we can’t afford to simply celebrate,” said Dr. Steele.
