LEARNING OUTCOMES

TYPE OF SESSION

CONTENT SESSIONS - are reviewed by the Certification Committee to assure the session meets requirements for awarding continuing education credit (CEUs). Content sessions have priority for room and time assignments and will be monitored for compliance with requirements for continuing education credit.

PRODUCT SESSIONS - do not receive CEU credit and are offered as a courtesy to mParks vendors who would like to provide information about products and services they offer. Product sessions will be scheduled on a time and room available basis.

Three learning outcomes must be written using observable, measurable terminology that describes how the participant will be able to demonstrate what they have learned by participating in this educational session. Use active verbs that are observed and measurable.

LEARNING OUTCOMES MUST BEGIN WITH ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TERMS.

ACCEPTABLE TERMS:  count, define, describe, identify, list, name, outline, quote, recall, reproduce, state, write, discuss, give examples, predict, summarize

UNACCEPTABLE TERMS:  know, understand, appreciate, acknowledge, grasp, improve, learn, enhance

COMPENSATION CONSIDERATIONS

Individuals who are mParks members or employed full time in Michigan in the field of parks and recreation shall not be eligible for compensation as a speaker at mParks events unless otherwise negotiated.

Presenters are welcome to attend other educational sessions on the day of their presentation (no meals included).

Thank you for taking the time to submit a session proposal for the mParks Conference and Trade Show.  Your session will be reviewed by the conference committee and you will be notified to confirm the status of your proposal.
