About The Scholarships
A total of four (4) scholarships will be awarded in April 2026 to Sabine High School senior student-athletes in recognition of their excellence in academics, excellence, and leadership in athletics, and contributions to the SHS student-athlete community. The scholarship amounts are as follows:
- $2,000 to one male athlete
- $2,000 to one female athlete
- $1,000 to one male athlete
- $1,000 to one female athlete
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a senior with a good disciplinary record
- Must participate in at least one sport during their senior year
- Applicant cannot receive a full academic or athletic scholarship from another source
- Must include a letter of recommendation from a SHS coach, teacher, or administrator
- Letter of recommendation:
- Cannot identify the applicant by name and/or jersey number in the actual statement to keep the selection process anonymous
- Electronic, word document format, provided to the student
Application Process:
- Obtain a letter of recommendation from a SHS coach, teacher, or administrator.
- Complete the online scholarship application before Monday, March 30, 2026
