Keep Arizona Blue Student Coalition's summer internship program is based off of our core mission––mobilizing young voters to elect Arizona Democrats up and down the ballot, and training the next generation of campaign leaders. By joining us in that mission, you'll gain political and communications experience, and both skills and connections to last a lifetime!
Our 2024 summer internship will last from May 15th until August 15th, with applications due on April 30th. The program is hybrid and working hours are flexible.
Upon completion of each month of the program, interns will receive a $500 stipend.
Responsibilities:
- Develop targeted messaging for KABSC programs based on polling and data
- Build relationships with national, state, and local press contacts
- Write press releases and staff briefings
- Send regular updates to KABSC Alliance
- Work with the digital team to develop language for ads
- Create regular editions of the 'Keeping Up with KABSC' newsletter
- Speak with groups of all ages about the work KABSC is doing
- Other responsiblities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Creative, thoughtful, and detail-oriented
- High-level grammar, spelling, and speaking skills
- Strong communication skills
- Access to a computer
- Ability to work under deadlines and in rapid response situations
In order to be eligible for this internship, you must be...
- a full-time or part-time student, or a graduate within the last two years, at a four-year university, community college, technical school, or high school.
- at least 18 years of age upon starting the internship.
- a U.S. citizen.
- able to access a computer connected to high-speed internet.

Time Committment: approx. 10-15 hours/week
