Keep Arizona Blue Student Coalition's summer internship program is based off of our core mission––mobilizing young voters to elect Arizona Democrats up and down the ballot, and training the next generation of campaign leaders. By joining us in that mission, you'll gain political and communications experience, and both skills and connections to last a lifetime!
Our 2024 summer internship will last from May 15th until August 15th, with applications due on April 30th. The program is hybrid and working hours are flexible.
Upon completion of each month of the program, interns will receive a $500 stipend.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in direct voter contact through canvassing, phone banking, text banking, writing postcards, etc.
- Recruit and train Gen-Z volunteers
- Execute the 'Postcards to Gen-Z' program, and work with older volunteers to get them the postcards, sample messages, and address lists they need
- Use VoteBuilder to cut turf and create phone banks as needed
- Plan community roundtables, volunteer events, and 'bring-a-friend' events
- Other responsiblities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (VAN proficiency is a plus, but not required)
- Creative, thoughtful, and detail-oriented
- Great at building connections
- Strong communication skills
- Access to a computer
- Ability to work under deadlines and, occasionally, in harsh weather conditions
In order to be eligible for this internship, you must be...
- a full-time or part-time student, or a graduate within the last two years, at a four-year university, community college, technical school, or high school.
- at least 18 years of age upon starting the internship.
- a U.S. citizen.
- able to access a computer connected to high-speed internet.

Time Committment: approx. 10-15 hours/week
