To Retain School Solar and EV in the Framingham FY25 Capital Budget
Dear Mayor Sisitsky,

Please retain the items below in the Administration’s FY25 Capital Budget request. These initiatives invest in Framingham’s future and will save the city and taxpayers money over time through solar electricity generation. They will also reduce carbon emissions from gas-powered vehicles, improving air quality and public health.
- Rooftop solar installation on the Farley Building, as requested by the School Committee
- The Citywide Solar Alternative Energy and Resiliency Plan
- The Vehicle Electrification Initiative, adding electric vehicles to the city’s fleets.
