  • When a disaster happens, there may be a chance you will need to be self-sufficient for at least the first 72 hours. Being prepared for this means having food, water and other essential supplies on hand.

You will want to identify a way to keep all of your items together. We suggest a heavy duty backpack, for smaller items, and a heavy duty (5) gallon bucket or tote with a secure fitting lid for larger items, and additional items listed below. You may need more than one of each depending on how many members there are in your household.

Below are lists of suggested items to add to your Go-Bag/container(s). Don’t be overwhelmed. You may already have some of these items and what you don’t have you can add over time. You do not need to go out and buy all these items at once. Build your supplies as you can and look for sales, discounts, and end of the season closeouts. Also, look at stores like Dollar Tree, Big Lots or even explore on-line discount options.

If you would like to puchase a basic 72 hour Go-Bag, we have them in our office, or you can purchase them directly from Stealth Angel, Go-Bags.

Reminder: You want to have enough supplies for each family member and pet in your household.
