*For optimal results, a series of TWO - SIX treatments is recommended, with sessions scheduled either biweekly or monthly, depending on individual needs.

🧬Studies show that microchanneling can increase collagen production by 200–400% over baseline in the weeks following treatment.
🧬Collagen synthesis continues for up to 4–6 weeks after a session, which is why multiple treatments are recommended.

⏰Before your appointment, please follow these pre-care guidelines to help prepare your skin for optimal microchanneling results:
    • Avoid active skincare ingredients such as retinol, exfoliants, or chemical peels for at least 72 HOURS before treatment.
    • If you have a history of cold sores, please contact your doctor for anti-viral medication, and start 3 DAYS prior to your treatment. This treatment may cause flare up if not treated prior.
    • Keep your skin well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water and using a gentle cleanser.
    • Limit sun exposure and avoid tanning beds for several days leading up to your appointment.
    • On the day of your treatment, minimize makeup use to allow your skin to breathe.

🚫If you have any of these contraindications please reach out to your Esthetician to discuss:
    • Active acne or cystic acne
    • Active cold sores or herpes simplex virus outbreaks
    • Eczema, rosacea, or psoriasis in the treatment area
    • Keloid or hypertrophic scarring
    • Active sunburn or severely irritated skin
    • Autoimmune disorders that affect the skin (lupus)
    • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
    • Recent chemical peels or laser treatments within the last 2 weeks
    • Blood-thinning medications or clotting disorders
    • Skin infections or open wounds
    • Recent Botox or dermal filler injections within the last 2 weeks

For your comfort, a 0.5% lidocaine numbing cream will be applied before the treatment to minimize any discomfort during the procedure but you may still feel some sensations like warm/tight skin, tapping of the gun, senitivity in certain areas.

This treatment requires 90 MINUTES of downtime afterwards with temporary inflammation, redness and warm/tight skin.

⏳Post-microchanneling, your skin will continue its natural healing process throughout the following week 7-10 days.

Here are a few additional points to keep in mind:
    • Most clients experience flushing pink, warm or tight skin afterwards for 48-72 HOURS.
    • It’s normal for your skin to feel tight, dry, or even experience slight peeling as it regenerates new collagen and elastin.
    • For the first 72 HOURS, avoid sun exposure, physical activity, harsh products, exfoliating products, and any makeup to let your skin recover fully.
    • Keep your skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water and using gentle products as advised by your Esthetician.
    • Limit direct sun exposure; when you do go outside, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your healing skin and reapply every 2 HOURS.
    • Your 2 step aftercare kit is included with your treatment, this will last about 7 days
    • Sleep on a fresh clean pillowcase and change weekly.
    • Should you notice any unusual reactions or prolonged discomfort, please contact your Esthetician immediately for guidance.

📞Your Esthetician will instruct you at your appointment on your post-treatment product care.

♡Following these guidelines will help maximize your results and ensure a smooth recovery.
