  • Israel’s Wartime Budget: Rethinking Economic Priorities
Tuesday, April 2 at 1:30 pm ET

How has the war in Israel affected the country's economy?

The October 7 terrorist attack and resulting war have forced Israel’s economic priorities to undergo a dramatic shift. Securing resources for the war effort and civilians’ immediate needs, supporting essential industries, and maintaining basic infrastructure become paramount. These shifts in economic priorities to ensure national security during the war, and hopefully pave the way for a more stable future after the conflict ends, are reflected in Israel’s recently passed wartime budget.

Join Jewish Federations of North America and the Israel Democracy Institute (IDI) as we dive into:

Israel’s Wartime Budget: Rethinking Economic Priorities

Speakers include: Prof. Karnit Flug, former Governor of the Bank of Israel (equivalent to the Chair of the Federal Reserve) and IDI’s Vice President of Research; and Bloomberg’s Galit Altstein
