In April 2023, Thomas More University published the Centennial history entitled: "Thomas More University at 100: Purpose, People, and Pathways to Student Success" which has 95 articles, condensed into 29 chapters in over 320 pages with more than 400 color, glossy photographs. Alumnus and former faculty member Paul Tenkotte ’82, Ph.D., was the overall editor who guided the articles through weekly publication in the NKY Tribune. Professor Ray Hebert, Ph.D., was the internal editor and primary author, helped by the then-archivist Thomas Ward and former archivist David Schroeder ’90. Now, a parallel volume, featuring Villa Madonna/Thomas More’s greatest athletes/teams of distinction, is completed. With the help of Tenkotte plus the Sports Information Office in the Athletic Department (especially Michael Pagano who authored three articles) and Vice President/Director of Athletics Terry Connor ’92, a companion volume entitled “Student Athletes and Athletics Programs at Thomas More University: Post-World War II to 2023” brings together an additional 22 articles focused on the growth of inter-collegiate sports at the University. Special thanks to Tom Brady and the All Saints Club for the role they have played in the production and distribution of this compendium and also to Stevie Publishing, Inc. (owned by Robert Stevie ’68). All proceeds from this second volume benefit athletic scholarships through the All Saints Club.
