Application Process and Eligibility
The Baltimore-Washington Conference, Board of Ordained Ministry (BOOM) through the Ministerial Education Fund (MEF), provides Grants/Loans to certified candidates for ordained ministry who are taking seminary classes toward a master’s degree or Basic Graduate Theological Studies at a University Senate Approved seminary.

The amount of the grants/loans will be determined by the availability of funds and will be available through the completion of the Master’s degree or denominational Requirements. You must also maintain a “C” or equivalent grade point average which must be verified by the seminary registrar each semester.
FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE AND SUBMIT:
- PDF of the DCOM Certification Form. Your District Chair must certify your candidacy by signing at the bottom of this form.
- PDF of the Seminary Certification Form. The candidate should complete Parts A & B ONLY, and then send to the registrar at the seminary where you attend.
- This MEF Request Form, with uploads of the two PDFs mentioned above.
RETURNING APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE AND SUBMIT:

- This MEF Renewal Request Form, with upload of the PDF mentioned above.
