    How to Get Started:

    1. Fill out the New Provider Inquiry Form to let us know about your business.
    2. If your business meets our initial criteria, we’ll send you the full application to complete.


    What to Expect:

    • Submitting a pre-application during the summer does not guarantee it will be reviewed before the new school year.
    • Pre-applications are usually reviewed within 4 weeks, but during busy times like Summer months, September, or school breaks, it may take up to 8 weeks.
    • After submitting a complete application, full onboarding typically takes 4–12 weeks.

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

    • The VENDOR must fill out this inquiry form - families may not complete this form on behalf of the vendor.  
    • Compass Charters will not cover costs for provider classes that are held at third-party locations requiring families to pay an additional access fee. This policy ensures that we only fund classes where families can participate without incurring extra venue charges.

    Application Definitions

    Pre-Application - (The initial application)

    Full Application (The application if the business passes the vetting stage) 

    • Businesses will need to upload the following documents to the application
      • A current 2024 W-9
      • Current business insurance liability policy (high-risk businesses will require additional insured wording on their policy)
      • ORI document or a Live scan(s) of persons who will be in direct contact with our scholars (on a Compass live scan form)
      • Current business license
      • Mandatory Reporter Training certifications

    Timelines (Deadlines/processing applications)

    Pre-Application

    Your pre-application will be assessed within 4 weeks of receipt. Please note that processing times may be extended during peak periods or school breaks.*

    *Due to the high volume of applications we receive during peak times (such as Summer, September, school breaks) the pre-approval process may take up to 8 weeks.

    Full Application:

    Once we have received a complete application, due to the detailed steps required for onboarding, the entire onboarding process could take 4 to 12 weeks to finalize.

  • CCS scholars are not allowed to participate in the following activities below. If any of these activities are the ONLY services offered we cannot move forward with your application. 

     

    • 5-day a week multi-subject all-inclusive program
    • Teach exclusively at a learning center that provides a sectarian program
    • Aerial Sports/Activities
    • Parkour (high impact)
    • Motorcross/Motorcycle Riding
    • Welding
    • Boxing
    • Kickboxing
    • Rock-climbing (outdoor)
    • Tightrope Walking

  • Provider offers:*
  • Learning Center with or without drop-Off services - Provider website must provide clear information about services provided (à la carte classes with current pricing - this is not necessary if the center provides only enrichment classes). Failure to do so may delay the approval of the application. In addition, further information may be requested.

  • If your classes are held at a learning center:

    • Any registration fees must be included in the child's first month's PO
    • Any material Fees must be included in the class price
    • All classes held at the learning center must be non-sectarian 
    • The learning center may not require parents/guardians to volunteer in order for their children to attend classes
    • The learning center may not require our children to wear a uniform in order to attend classes. Request for appropriate attire for learning is admissible
  • Provider understands School pays Net 30 terms (Purchase Orders Only - no payments by charge card)*
  • Provider will be able to provide a completed W-9*
  • Will your W-9 list an EIN number?*
  • Will your W-9 list a Social Security Number? (do not choose 'yes' if you have an EIN number)*
  • Provider has been in business and has provided products/services to the general public for at least 6 months. (a current business license or proof of business is required on the full application)*
  • Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, because you have not been in business for at least 6 months we will be unable to accept your application. Once you have proof of being in business for 6 months you may apply again. 

  • Does your business fall under any of the following (high risk category/activities)?*

  • If the business falls under the high-risk category, are you able to provide proof of $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 liability? (Please be advised that "Compass Charter Schools, its directors, officers, employees, and agents" must be named as "additionally insured" on the policy). Please note that businesses who are not "high-risk" do not need to have the the "additionally insured" clause stated on their policy but "Compass Charter Schools" should be listed as the certificate holder.*
  • Service Providers Only: Does the business employ one or more individuals? (If yes, Workers’ Compensation Insurance is required)*
  • For background verification, which of the following will you be able to provide?*
  • Service Providers Only: Does the business agree to ensure that all employees, agents, and subcontractors performing services complete the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Mandated Reporter Training prior to the initiation of services and annually thereafter, in full compliance with Senate Bill 848?*
  • Provider agrees that all services or materials provided to students of Compass Charter Schools will be nonsectarian, as consistent with California Education Code 47605(e)(1).*
  • Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, because you will be selling faith-based products and/or services to our scholars, we will be unable to accept your application. As a public school, we are unable to purchase any faith-based services or materials.  We appreciate your time and interest.

  • Provider agrees to not sell products or services that discriminate against any scholar on the basis of actual or perceived disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, immigration status, religion, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or any other characteristic that is contained in the definition of hate crimes in the California Penal Code. (Education Code sections 220, 234.1; 42 U.S.C. sections 2000d-2000e-17, 2000h-2000h-6.)*
