* AMFS Guitar students/teachers are only in residence during the second half of the AMFS summer festival season - July 22-August 18, 2024. Guitar lessons will only take place during this time.
When Do Lessons Take Place?
Once you've been assigned a Festival Lessons teacher, you'll work with that teacher to schedule lessons according to your shared availability.
Private lessons through the Festival Lessons program will begin on or after the start of the AMFS summer festival season - June 26-August 18, 2024. All lessons need to be completed by the last day of the AMFS summer festival season (August 18).
Please Note: The Festival Lesson program is NOT available outside of this timeframe.
Where Do Lessons Take Place?
Private lessons through the Festival Lessons program take place on the AMFS's Bucksbaum Campus (225 Music School Road - Aspen, CO 81611).
Why Are Lessons Sold in Half-Hour Increments?
Half-hour lessons work great for some people, particularly beginners and very young students. For others, hour-long lessons are better. To offer the most lesson flexibility, we sell lesson vouchers in half-hour increments. Feel free to combine half-hour lesson increments into one-hour lessons, if that's better for you. You'll need to purchase two half-hour lesson vouchers for each hour-long lesson you'd like to take.
Important: Refunds are not offered for unused lesson vouchers.
What Happens After I Complete This Registration?
1. You'll receive an email confirmation letting you know we've received your registration, and we'll add you to a list of interested 2024 Festival Lesson participants.
2. In late June, when the AMFS students arrive on campus and are ready to begin teaching, we'll assign Festival Lessons students to the AMFS students who will be their teachers for the summer.
3. On or after June 26, when we've found the perfect teacher for you who can best meet your musical needs, you'll receive that teacher's contact info via email, and he/she will receive your contact info. The two of you can set up lessons based on your joint availability.
