  • Behavior Policy, Hygiene Procedures, and Disciplinary Action Manual

  • Introduction:

Welcome to our indoor Summer Camp! We are dedicated to providing a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for all campers. This manual outlines our behavior expectations, hygiene procedures, and disciplinary actions to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

    Behavior Policy:

Respect: Treat camp staff, fellow campers, and camp property with kindness and respect. Bullying, teasing, or any form of physical or verbal aggression is strictly prohibited.

Listening and Cooperation: Listen attentively to camp staff and follow their instructions promptly. Participate in camp activities with enthusiasm and cooperate with fellow campers.

Sharing and Consideration: Share toys, games, and resources with others, and take turns during group activities. Show consideration for others' feelings and belongings.

Safety Awareness: Follow safety rules and guidelines provided by camp staff during indoor activities. Walk instead of run, use equipment properly, and refrain from climbing on furniture or structures.

Cleanliness and Tidiness: Keep personal belongings organized and tidy. Dispose of trash in designated bins, clean up spills promptly, and contribute to maintaining a clean environment.

    Hygiene Procedures:

Hand Washing: Wash hands with soap and water before and after meals, after using the restroom, and after messy activities. Encourage thorough handwashing for at least 20 seconds.

Covering Coughs and Sneezes: Use a tissue or elbow to cover coughs and sneezes, and dispose of tissues properly. Remind campers to avoid touching their faces with unwashed hands.

Personal Items: Encourage campers to avoid sharing personal items such as water bottles, utensils, or hats to prevent the spread of germs.

Restroom Etiquette: Use the restroom facilities appropriately and wash hands thoroughly afterward. Report any restroom cleanliness issues to camp staff for prompt attention.

Food Safety: Follow food safety guidelines during snack and meal times. Avoid sharing food with other campers and notify camp staff of any food allergies or dietary restrictions.

    Disciplinary Actions:

Verbal Warning: Campers will receive a verbal warning for minor infractions of behavior or hygiene policies. Camp staff will provide guidance on appropriate behavior and offer the camper a chance to correct their actions.

Time-Out: Continued disruptive behavior may result in a time-out period where the camper is temporarily removed from the group activity. During this time, the camper will have the opportunity to reflect on their actions.

Parent Notification: If behavior issues persist despite verbal warnings and time-outs, camp staff will notify the camper's parents or guardians to discuss the situation and collaborate on a resolution plan.

Dismissal from Camp: In severe cases of repeated misconduct or safety concerns, campers may be dismissed from camp. This decision will be made in consultation with camp management and communicated to the camper's parents or guardians.

    Conclusion:

By adhering to our behavior policy, hygiene procedures, and disciplinary actions, we aim to create a positive, inclusive, and safe environment where children can learn, grow, and make lasting memories during our Indoor Summer Camp. We appreciate the cooperation of campers and their families in upholding these standards for the well-being of all participants.

We try to accommodate all children, we reserve the right to ask you to pick up your child if their bahaviors are violent towards other children or staff.
