Payment Terms: a $1,500 deposit is due at the time of enrollment. The balance is due on or before March 31. A $250 late fee will apply for any payments made on or after April 1. All dates and times are based on Eastern Standard, New York time.
Cancellation Terms: a full refund, including any deposit paid will be made if cancellation request is received in writing on or before December 31. A partial refund, less $1,000 non refundable and non transferable deposit, will be issued if cancellation request is received in writing on or before May 1. No refund will be issued if cancellation is requested on or after May 2, including during the camp session.
To enjoy early bird or any other discounts, full tuition is due no later then December 31.
Camper tuition at Camp Thousand Miles includes round-trip transportation from the published origin point of the program on our scheduled transportation, laundry service, all meals, hotel accommodations and all activities. Tuition does not include required curriculum based reading materials or required and optional camp apparel. Itineraries and trip details are subject to change.
The camp is not responsible for campers' equipment or personal belongings while in transit, traveling at camp, or if lost or damaged by fire, theft, laundry, etc.
A 3% processing fee will be added for all credit card transactions. Families are welcome to pay by check or ACH at no additional cost. All refunds for payments made by credit card will incur an additional 3% fee on the amount refunded.
No refund, fee reduction, or allowance is made for late arrival, early dismissal, or withdrawal of a camper after May 1.
As parents/guardians, we sign below, understanding the risks involved in rural, woodland, outdoor camp activities. We realize that no environment is risk-free, and we accept responsibility and grant permission for our child to participate in all activities, program excursions, and special outings. Knowing that the orderly operation of the program is of utmost importance, we have instructed our child on the importance of, and we agree to comply with, all Camp policies and procedures, including enrollment, withdrawal of campers, and all policies as outlined here, in the Parent Handbook. Further, we shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SAR United LLC (d/b/a Camp Thousand Miles), its officers, officials, employees and volunteers from and against any and all claims, suits, actions, or liabilities for injury or death of any person, or for loss or damage to property, which arises out of my child's camp experience.
We fully understand that Camp Thousand Miles reserves the right to dismiss, at its sole discretion, a camper whose condition, conduct, influence, or behavior is deemed by the Camp to be unsatisfactory or detrimental to the best interests of the Camp or any child who violates Camp Policies and Regulations without any refund. In these cases, parents are responsible for any costs incurred with dismissal (such as, but not limited to, hotel nights, meals and transportation)
We hereby consent to and authorize the reproduction, publication, and use by Camp Thousand Miles and their successors and assignees for advertising, commercial, or any other purposes, use of any photograph, picture, or likeness of my/our child.
We agree that any dispute or cause of action arising between the camper, parent/guardian, Camp, or any other parties involved can only be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Essex County, NY, and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
