We maintain an extensive need-based financial aid policy, and we encourage all families who need assistance with tuition to apply for financial aid.

If you choose to apply for tuition assistance, no credit card information will be collected & payment of your Registration Fee will be delayed until after your Tuition Assistance application is processed by the GCSF Board of Trustees.

*Returning students that have previously been awarded Tuition Assistance must re-apply for Tuition Assistance each year.

Overture Choir
Based on your child's age and grade level, the best fit for them would be GCSF's Overture Choir.

Overture is an introductory music class for children ages 4-6 who love to sing and make music! Through a specially designed curriculum, this class will introduce music theory, singing techniques, instrument playing, and basic musical skills through engaging songs, movement, and games, helping children to build a solid foundation for future music-making.
Age range: Children ages 4 to 6 (must be potty trained)

Location: GCSF's main office at 319 Tarpon Drive, Ft. Lauderdale FL 33301

Days/times: Thursdays, 4:15 to 5:00 PM

Tuition: 53 per month (Sept thru April)
Please note that our Overture program will only be available if a minimum number of students sign up for it. We request that you submit this registration form to confirm your interest in the program.

We are currently in the process of confirming enrollments and will notify you about the status of the class by August 1st. No deposit is required at this time.

Choose your Child's Ensemble

Below are the classes that are appropriate for your child based on age and grade level.
You will apply for Tuition Assistance on the next page.
Primes Choir (Fort Lauderdale) & Prelude Choir (Coral Springs)

These ensembles are led by the same instructors and are geared towards beginning and young intermediate singers, primarily ages 6 to 10. At this level, singers begin to learn the foundations of vocal technique and the basics of music literacy. They will learn simple, beginner-level choreography as they prepare for performances.

Tuition: $79 per month
Select either "Prelude Choir" or "Primes Choir":

Prelude Choir

WHEN: Mondays at 4:45pm - 6:00pm

WHERE: Satellite (8505 W Atlantic Blvd, Coral Springs, FL 33071)

Primes Choir

WHEN: Thursdays at 5:15pm - 6:30pm

WHERE: Main Office (319 Tarpon Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301)
Mezzo Choir (Fort Lauderdale) & Melody Choir (Coral Springs)

These ensembles are led by the same instructors and are geared towards singers ages 9 to 13. At this level, singers learn and expand upon the foundations of vocal technique and music literacy. They will also learn choreography as they prepare for annual performances and community events.

Tuition: $105 per month

Mezzo Choir

WHEN: Wednedays at 5:15pm - 6:45pm

Concert Choir (Fort Lauderdale) & Harmony Choir (Coral Springs)

These ensembles are led by the same instructors and have similar learning goals. Our oldest and most advanced choristers sing in these ensembles. Membership requires a strong commitment to regular rehearsal attendance and practice outside of class. Singers develop their vocal technique to the highest level and work towards collegiate level music theory as they prepare for annual concerts, community performances, and regular travel.

*Membership in these ensembles requires 1 overnight choreography workshop per semester.

Tuition: $119 per month

2023-2024 Tuition Assistance Application
The Girl Choir of South Florida believes that our mission, "transforming' girls lives through musical excellence," includes all who love to sing, regardless of economic circumstances. We maintain an extensive need-based financial aid policy, and we encourage all families who need assistance with tuition to apply for financial aid. You do NOT need to be receiving social services or welfare benefits to qualify.

If you choose to apply for tuition assistance, no payments will be due until AFTER your application is processed. You will receive an email to confirm the award amount prior to the start of the season.

Application for tuition assistance does not guarantee award. Most awards are partial and will not cover the total cost of tuition. The family remains responsible for the full cost of the annual registration fee ($75) and uniform fee ($45).
