Parade Rules for All Participants *Every vehicle must adhere to relevant laws and must be driven by a licensed operator.
1. No one may get on or off the float once it has started down the parade route. 2. No dangling legs over the edge of the float. 3. Walkers may hand out candy to parade viewers. 4. All floats must be of the "low-bed" type on a trailer. (Please look up "float trailer" in order to enhance safety and security 5. There must be a responsible adult chaperone present if any children are riding or walking with the float. 6. No weapons / firearms allowed on any entry. 7. No smoking or alcoholic beverages on any parade entry at any time before or during the parade. 8. All floats should have an 8" clearance from the ground. 9. The pull vehicle must be able to travel slow enough to avoid stalling. 10. No fire or flame-producing devices are allowed on floats. 11. The distribution of political materials is not permitted Throwing of candy to the crowd from floats/vehicles, during the parade is not permitted. The staging period is scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 19, 2024. Staging will be located on Kansas Ave. between 3rd and 4th Street. The parade will commence promptly at 11:00 am. The parade route will start at 4th Street on Kansas Ave, proceeding south to 9th St., then west on 9th St. to Jackson Ave., north on Jackson Ave. to 8th St., concluding on 8th and Jackson Ave.
