The Red Letter Awards celebrates outstanding film writers who use their God-given creativity to craft meaningful stories, inspire audiences, and help advance faith-based and family-friendly entertainment. Writers demonstrating excellence through powerful storytelling, memorable characters, and messages of faith, hope, and redemption are invited to be nominated for the 2027 Film Writer Award. Eligible nominees must demonstrate Christian values, integrity, dedication, artistic excellence, and a commitment to using storytelling responsibly. Their original screenplay, adapted screenplay, or other written contribution to a film project must have made a meaningful impact between January 1, 2026, and January 31, 2027. If you know an inspiring film writer whose work reflects exceptional creativity, strong character, and a commitment to stories that honor God and encourage positive values, we invite you to nominate them for consideration for a 2027 Red Letter Award nomination.

Red Letter Awards Rules and Terms:

Must be uplifting and/or carries Christian values
No nudity or sexuality explicit scenes
No offensive language
Strong violence is prohibited
No horror films
All non-English Films must have English Subtitles

Nominees are required to submit a high resolution picture and/or video (video trailer link).

Picture size must be no larger than 10 MB.

Best Picture submissions are due by February 28, 2025.

Incomplete entries will not be accepted or considered.

Red Letter Awards reserves the right to reject any submissions.
