MAY 29th VIRTUAL B2L Legacy: P.O.W.E.R Listening Sessions Full Registration Form 

Thank you for your interest in Build 2 Lead's P.O.W.E.R community listening sessions. Build 2 Lead is an organization that focuses on creating platforms that empower community members to speak TRUTH behind their experiences in the systems of criminal justice, education, and healthcare, while becoming advocates for change through building solutions to these problems. Please carefully read the below goals of our session as well as expectations and ways of being in order to have the best experience possible. 

Goals of Our Listening Sessions:

1. Create a space where community can convene and discuss their experiences and overall impact of the systems we operate in.

2. Have open and honest conversations around the harm caused by the system of healthcare on BIPOC communities.

3. Participate in solution focused conversations.

4. Be communal and embrace others cultures and ways of being.  

Expectations and Ways of Being: 

1. Please make sure to answer all questions related to any language barriers or accomodations needed to ensure you have the best possible experience in our sessions. 

2. Please respect all participants and refrain from any judgemental language or body langugage. 

3. Please arrive 15 min. early if possible. Attendees who show up more than 30-min. late will be ineligble to participate in our session and will have to sign-up for our next listening session on our website. 

4. Please ensure you are fully registered before coming into our space. We won't have the time to register you during our session. 

5. If you decide to invite another participant please make sure they have registred for our session as well. We would not want to have to turn anyone away for not registering fully. 

6. Please make sure you understand all disclaimers and statements in our pre-event registration form. You should have filled this out before being invited here. If you did not fill this out, STOP and reach out to our program manager. Contact details are provided below.

Please read carefully:

The undersigned agrees to be bound by all the rules governing Build 2 Lead (B2L) and in addition agrees to the following:

1. Waive any and all claims against B2L, its Board Members, employees, partners and agents for any liability or loss (including but not limited to bodily injury arising out of the programming and activities of B2L).

2. Agree that the stipend of $75 is based upon my attendance at the P.O.W.E.R. listening session. If I do not attend, show up more than 30-min. late, or leave more than 30 min. early I will lose my ability to get a stipend. I also understand that violating "the ways of being" listed at the beginning of the

Will not disclose any data that contains identifiable personal information of any of participants to any media outlets, or public agencies or any other stakeholders without consent from our participants for the purpose of personal story telling. These testimonials will come in the form of one-on-one media interviews and written experiences and will be discussed in advance with any willing participants. 

4. Understand that all P.O.W.E.R listening session materials, tools, and initiatives are the proprietary designs and intellectual property of Build 2 Lead and Ambition Is Priceless Consulting, and our partners. P.O.W.E.R listening session related materials shouldn't be shared with any outside organizations or stakeholders.
