Start a Builder's Fund

Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) has received a matching fund grant as part of Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT VIII (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow).

HCCF will use part of the funding to grow Builder’s Funds, endowment funds that are not designated for a specific purpose but utilized for the most pressing community needs of the future as they arise as determined by the HCCF Board of Directors.

The Foundation will offer a 3:1 match for Builders Funds, whether new or existing. This includes a 2:1 match from Lilly Endowment Inc. and a 1:1 match from HCCF.

Once this form is submitted, your Builder's Fund will be PENDING until you meet with an HCCF staff member virtually or in-person, the minimum full donation amount is received ($2,500), the HCCF Board of Directors approves your fund, and you sign the fundholder agreement. All of these components must occur before the fund becomes active.
If any of the above conditions do not occur by December 31, 2025, any donated funds received for this prospective fund will become a gift designated for the Harrison County Community Foundation Builder's Fund instead of becoming a named fund.
After December 31, 2025, the duration of time to establish a Builder's Fund will revert to 90 days.
