It's hard to believe SSHC is already heading into its 4th season! We couldn't have done it without some incredible families along the way, many of which have left us for even higher opportunities. 3 years have produced a lot of data. Parents expressing their child's restored love for hockey or seeing a player's development trajectory go from stagnant to upward are both good examples of what we strive to maintain. The most common hinderance in the last 3 years is exclusive to the adults, including coaches, managers and parent/guardians. There's no collective buy in to the culture and standards set forth by the organization. The most common thing we hear are stories of displeasure from past experiences with other minor hockey organizations. Often times the same people come here and create the very problems they complain about, which are ironically avoided or easily solved by a collective buy in to this organizations culture and standards. We understand that respect is not demanded, it is commanded. It's important for people to understand that we exist as a result of some of our own unpleasant experiences during our minor hockey days. In other words, we are on the same team to begin with. We didn't create our own organization to be just like every one else. We created the organization we wish we had when we were involved in youth hockey. When you submit this form it is understood that you value and are committed to the wholesome experience we are capable of providing, so long as everyone appropriately holds themselves and each other accountable to the culture and standards of the organization. All you have to do is commit, pay your fees on time, show up consistently, be a team player and support your coaches. Afterall, the sum of the organization's culture and standards is individual development and a really good time had by all! We're confident that is something everyone can get on board with, so let's make it happen this year! Go Selects Go!
