Art's House Gift Shop | Artist Application & Contract
Upon acceptance of this application the artist agrees to to the following conditions:
- Artwork in the gallery is exhibited at the artist’s own risk. However, in the event your work is damaged, the artist:gallery commission rate below will apply.
- The artist:gallery commission rate is 70:30. If you volunteer 4+ hours per month with Community Arts Base, the commission rate is 80:20.
- Artists will be paid monthly via check for the prior month’s sales minus gallery commission.
- If the amount owed to the artist is less than $20, payment will be deferred until the amount reaches $20 or the end of the year, whichever comes first.
- Drop-off and pick-up times are designated below. Arrangements must be made with gallery management in advance if an alternative drop-off or pick-up time is needed.
- Artwork shall remain for the duration specified, or per previously agreed upon dates with the gallery management.
- The gallery management reserves the right to display artwork as it sees fit for each show.
- Artwork for wall display will be ready to hang with secure wire and|or hooks, and unframed edges will be finished to conform professionally with the rest of the artwork.
- The artist agrees to supply all the following items at or before the specified drop-off time:
  - inventory sheet to include title (if applicable), prices, dimensions, and media of each work
  - artist statement
  - marketing information to include social media handles, hashtags, and digital images
